Since graduating, I've had the opportunity to make an impact on several projects that ultimately ended in the hands of users. Every role had something interesting that allowed me to grow and where I was able to use my knowledge and experience in gaming in a professional setting.



Software Test Engineer III

Tested and delivered stable OS for Microsoft HoloLens validating all system functionalities and features


Software Test Engineer III (04/2016 to 10/2017)

Microsoft HoloLens is a pair of mixed reality smartglasses developed and manufactured by Microsoft. HoloLens was the first head-mounted display running the Windows Mixed Reality platform under the Windows 10 computer operating system. The tracking technology used in HoloLens can trace its lineage to Kinect, an add-on for Microsoft's Xbox gaming console that was introduced in 2010.

My  Role:

Tested and delivered stable OS for Microsoft HoloLens validating all system functionalities and features.

  • Creating Unity test apps to narrow down issues.

  • Debugging OS issues using C# and C++.

  • Developing AR apps for HoloLens for validation and repros.

  • Running daily test passes for new builds.

  • Responsible for Code Reviews.

  • Communicating with engineers and PMs about issues and improvements.

  • Writing and updating bugs using TFS.



Protect Test Engineer (2/2015 to 03/2016)

This site is the portal through which developer can register themselves for licensing their games. This goes for internal Nintendo developers, third party developers, as well as indie developers. 

My Role:

Worked on testing a corporate website designed to be used by the company as well as third party developers.

  • Testing the corporate website using JavaScript, JSON, and Liferay.

  • Reporting and maintaining bugs using JIRA.

  • Maintaining project documentation using Confluence.

  • Communicating with site developers and developers using the site.

  • Developing cases that test different user roles to ensure security.

  • Properly finding issues and possible fixes by looking at JavaScript code in Splunk.



Bilingual Game Tester (06/2011 to 09/2013)

Nintendo Co., Ltd. is a Japanese multinational consumer electronics and video game company headquartered in Kyoto. Nintendo is one of the world's largest video game companies by market capitalization, creating some of the best-known and top-selling video game franchises of all-time, such as Mario, The Legend of Zelda, and Pokémon.

My Role:

Software testing for game logic and user experience for the 3DS, Wii & Wii U systems.

  • Test software for several issues like graphical, audio and software crashes.

  • Performed network tests to ensure connection stability and functionality.

  • Worked closely with English and Spanish localization for their software products.

My Role:

Test, code and design in an agile development team on innovative and experimental apps for Lowe's and their customers. Apps include VR/AR apps, website solutions, load testing, among others.

  • Create Unity unit test using C# for existing code in our apps.

  • Develop experimental VR/AR apps on various platforms: iOS, Android, HoloLens, Magic Leap, etc.

  • Running daily test passes for new builds of apps.

  • Writing test plans and documentation for each project using Jira & Confluence.

  • Filing and updating bugs using Jira.

  • Helped established guidelines and best practices for the development's QA team.

  • Selenium using Java on Browserstack to ensure quality across browsers

  • Perform load testing using Azure to test APIs.

  • Design and document new features on apps.

  • Research new technologies to be used in the labs

  • Present demos and apps to focus groups as well as executives.

  • Participate in internal hack-a-thons.



    This game lets the player take command of their fleet of ships and place them on the seas, much like Battleship. However, in this game both fleets occupy the same space.
